Arctic Fox Photography Tours

Tour Leader...

Trip leader David Gibbon became the first UK photographer ever to visit Hornstrandir in winter to work with Arctic Fox in their snowy environment in 2017.

It is a very unique place to visit as it is impossible to reach without a team to get you there and the same exists today. David has built a strong relationship with the Icelandic team and, collectively, they will make sure you have a successful and fun trip.

Weng Lim, one of the clients, said after the tour: 'It was an awesome trip. Thank you David.' (this comment can be seen on David's facebook page - please contact David if you want the link).

In 2017, David approached the presitigious BBC Wildlife magazine with the idea of getting a feature - and one of his images - into the publication. A feature was published in the July issue.

Christmas 2017 saw one of David's Arctic Fox images feature on the annual Christmas card of the Icelandic Institute of Natural History. It was the first time in the 80 year history of the institute that an Arctic Fox was chosen for the card.

David also received a personal invite to meet Iceland's leading ecologist and Arctic Fox expert Dr Ester Rut, after she put one of his images forward to the board at the Institute of Natural History.

David now understands how to work with these Arctic Fox, what times you are likely to see them and more. And he will pass on his knowledge to clients during the trip.
